Grab a cup of coffee and a piece of cake. While searching for a pic to celebrate my birthday, I came across the London Cake company and this series of 18+ cakes. http://www.londoncake.com/Adult%2018%20Plus.htm What a hoot!
Some people like to ignore their birthdays, seeing it as another year older. There's no fighting it. Time will not stop so my motto is embrace it and have fun! I love my birthday and have celebrated it in many different ways.
In my younger, freer days my celebrations consisted of the three B's--Bars, Booze, and Boys. As the years passed and I got hitched, I got more creative. For my 30th, I decided to spend it somewhere I always wanted to go--Hawaii. Pennyless with a two year old in tow, my husband and I discussed our options. (Bless him, he's always up for one of my crazy adventures.) I took a temporary job in Honolulu and we moved there for 6 months. Here I am blowing out my candles.
Last year, I took a week vacation to do nothing but hangout at home, which I loved. I also took my hubby to Jamaica for his 40th *wink* for a weekend.
So, as you can see birthdays are big for me. This year though, it appears I don't have time to celebrate it. Between family obligations, swim meets, and boy scout outings, I can't figure out when we can stick a cake in this week. LOL My children are VERY disappointed but we'll figure it out. Sometimes being spontaneous is the best surprise there can be.
What do you do on your birthday?
