Websites

Rebecca asked earlier in the week about what makes you buy a book, but I pose another question. I'm in the process of coding up a re-design of my website and it's something I wonder about from a reader's perspective. I know what I'd like to see on an author's website, but I'm curious if others share my thoughts.

Tell me, what would you like to see on an author's website?

When I redesigned my website (moving away from Wordpress) I used this article as a template.

I like the idea of my books being first and foremost. That's what I'm selling, after all.

I like a mini biography at least.

I want a book pages that lists all the books. If they're in a series, what order they should be read in and buy links that are easy to do.

If the author has an appearance date, or is teaching somewhere (even online), I always look for that. If it's near me, I'll attend.
