Haunted Memphis by Elizabeth Alsobrooks

It’s that time of year again, and this year my publishing company’s Halloween party’s theme is haunted Memphis. Memphis is known for Blues music and Rock and Roll. There are many ghosts there, including some very famous ones. Not only is it the home of Graceland, the former home of Elvis Presley, it is also the site of the tragic murder of Civil Rights leader, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The Lorraine Motel is now the location of the National Civil Rights Museum.

Another famous museum, the National Ornamental Metal Museum, the site of a Civil War hospital complete with a morgue and body chute. Supposedly it’s haunted by the many soldiers who died there.

Memphis is filled with famous and infamous bars, hotels and houses that are said to be haunted.
