How do you prefer to "read" your books?

I think it's amazing that with the technology we have, there are so many ways to enjoy books! In physical books, we can get them in paperback, hardcover, and large print. Then there are ebooks that are available to read on pretty much any computer, laptop, smartphone, or reading device. Audiobooks, too! We also can sometimes choose between reading the written version and graphic novels or webtoons. And occasionally, some of these stories get turned into television series and movies. Do you have a favorite way to enjoy your stories?

I like a combination of all of the above.

There are some books where I have read the book (either print or ebook) then listened to the audiobook and later watched the movie. I did this with The Martian by Andy Weir and The Host by Stephenie Meyer.

There are some Webtoons I read (am reading) before watching the shows, like All of Us Are Dead and Hellbound. In the case of Sweet Home, I watched the show before reading the Webtoon, as I found out about the Webtoon later.

Right now though, I mostly alternate between reading one of the paperbacks on my shelves and one of the hundreds of ebooks on the reading apps on my phone. I have no preference between the two and need to wear my glasses to read both. I would love it if all the stories I enjoy and love got turned into movies or shows, but I know not all of them will.

What about you? What format do you prefer? And if you love a book, will you enjoy it in multiple formats?

Remember last month I told you about the release of the third book in my Prophecy series? Well, on July 24th I released another book. Or, re-released it, that is. My one and only PNR romance was part of Amazon's Kindle Worlds and therefore available only through Amazon US.

That's it. Not even international Amazon users could buy it. It was a sad time for many of my readers.

But then, glory be! Amazon decided to close Kindle Worlds and give authors the rights to their books back!

What does that mean? It means Made for Her, my vampire romance set in S.E. Smith's Magic, New Mexico, isn't just for Amazon US anymore. If you use B&N, iTunes, Kobo, or Amazon International, you can finally buy a copy of this book.

And, bonus, the print copy will be be available in time for the holidays (or sooner, if I can swing it.)

What would you do if your neighbor were a...?

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my American peeps out there! I hope you're feasting on wonderful food and enjoying time with your family and friends. Oh, and get lots of sleep so you can shop tomorrow at the Black Friday sales.

I'm from Canada, so we already celebrated our Thanksgiving in October. It's a good thing we have ours earlier, because in November, weather is so unpredictable in Canada. It was nice at the beginning of the month, and this past weekend, temperatures dropped to below freezing, and we got snowed on. That leads to neighbors helping neighbors clear the snow in their driveway and more. I live in a neighborhood where we all pretty much know each other. And when it snows, we do help each other out. Those with snowblowers help those who don't have them.

But what if you don't know your neighbors that well? Or what if your neighbors have secrets that they don't want anyone to find out? In the city I live in, many people work shift work at factories. Someone on the midnight shift could easily be a vampire. And you never know who might be a demon.

In my Alien Next Door series, the neighbors are aliens, and will only reveal what they are to their true love. But, what would you do if you found out your neighbor was an alien? Would it help if they were sexy? ;)
