It's Furday!

And I'm having babies. No, not me personally! But fur babies abound at PR's blogspot today. Tiny little replicas of their bigger, scarier parents.

The triplets are the cutest.

Aren't these bengals adorable.

And how do the mothers do this and not take their sweet little heads off!

What a flower she is, huh?

He's showing us his big feet.

These little fellow's have a big growl.

Wow! that's all I can say here.
Will they stay this clean. Aww, Mom!

It was not easy, but I did find wolf cubs.

My dream vacation would be to go on an African safari to see some of the big cats in their natural habitat. They probably won't be around for later generations.
Tigers live in different climates like hot rain forest, the woods of India, as well as the snowy forest of Asia. They prefer to hide in shadows and do not go into open country like Lions do. It is said only about 5,000 to 7,000 of them exist in the wild. To see them just once I'd endure almost anything. Snow leopards live in the mountains of Central Asia where they have access to the steep, rugged and mountainous terrain they prefer. They are very elusive, and like the tiger, they're an endangered species. Next to the domestic cat, leopards were the most adaptive and abundant of the felines - until men unbalanced nature. Now the majority is located in Africa. We have expanded our living areas, and in doing so, soiled and damaged habitats of all creatures great and small.
See the little guy above with the big feet? Will his children or their children be able to survive in what little space we've left for them?

How adorable! I love this post, Joann! It put a big ole smile on my face (and made me want to go out and grab some kitten companions to take home hehe).

Rae, I wish we (mankind) were not making it so hard for them to survive.

But wouldn't they be the cuddliest little critters!

I love cubs. I don't know about seeing a tiger in its natural habitat, it might eat me. Their, quoting Sandra here, fraking big! (yes, I a BSG fan)

Those cubs and pups are adorable. It is a shame that we, as man, need more and more space and have to take our space where its available. I certainly would like nothing more than to see a happy balance between man and beasts but I doubt it'll happen in my lifetime and that is unfortunate. We will have to enjoy them while we can.

Great post, J!

Loved the pics, Joann! I'm fortunate in the fact that the Indianapolis zoo has huge enclosures for their lions and tigers to roam. And yes, I regularly talk to one of the female lions whose name is Mara. She knows me. In fact, she was the inspiration to part of the plot line of my last book :-)
The tigers know me too (hubby and I go to the zoo often, esp. when it's nice weather) I swear, one of them rolls his eyes when I say "who's a pretty kitty."

You know he likes it. :-)

And, very exciting, the Indy zoo's getting a cheetah next Memorial Day. Can't wait to check it out.

Anyway, now that I've babbled on and made a complete dork out of myself, I'll go back to writing!

Save the big cats!

Hey everybody, sorry I missed this! Went to bed early because I still feel like crap. But I had to do something for the big cats.

Rebecca, aren't they just the cutest!

Annie, tigers have eaten less people than they are credited with.

Liena, hopefully it is sooner than later.

Sandi, you are not a dork! especially the way you love the cats. Can't wait until your story is pubbed.

JoAnn, I afraid of squirrels and I pretty sure they're not man eaters either. LOL *exits with chicken noise*
